Symmetricom's chip level atomic clock sa.45s has a power consumption of < 115mw and a volume of < 16cc. For the first time, the portable meter can also have the accuracy and stability of the atomic clock level. Sa.45s outputs standard CMOS level 10MHz and 1PPS signals, short-term stability (Allen variance): 2e-10 (@ 1s) long-term aging rate 3e-10 / month, temperature characteristic 5e-10 (- 10 ℃ ~ 70 ℃), and wide temperature products (- 40 ℃ ~ 70 ℃) can be selected at the same time. If the power consumption is slightly higher, the temperature characteristics will also be slightly reduced.
The 1PPS output of sa.45s can be synchronized to the 1PPS of the external reference clock with an accuracy of ± 50ns. 1PPS input can also be used to lock its 1PPS and frequency output to 1ns and 1.0e-12 levels respectively.
Sa.45s has its own standard CMOS level RS-232 serial interface to control and calibrate the device. It also provides a series of status monitoring. It is even possible to read the internal clock time information (TOD) of the CSAC.
Sa.45s supports setting to work in ultra-low power consumption mode. At this time, its physical package will be temporarily closed, and the operation of the device is similar to the state of free oscillation TCXO. At the same time, the physical package will periodically start and re lock TCXO. The average power consumption in this mode only needs < 50MW.
